Here is the obligitory post where I inform all those coming to the site who I am and what I’m about. To ensure I don’t bore each and everyone of you to death I’ll make this as short and as painless as I possibly can.

So who am I?

As you can tell by the domain my name is Chad Egeland and I am a happily married,  proud father of three (1 boy and 2 girls) who lives in Lethbridge, Alberta Canada. I am addicted to all things hockey, especially the NHL and the team I cheer for  is the Edmonton Oilers.

I like action movies, Xbox 360 gaming, hate long walks on the beach and have a sense of humour. Most people would call me shy but I dont’ think I of myself like that at all, instead I would say I am cautious. I am a Leo and have recently celebrated my 30th birthday.

I currently run the hockey social news network IceColdNews.com and I have hooked up with an ultra skilled programmer and together we have planned out and are working on implementing massive changes to the site. We will begin beta testing in February of 2010 and in March of 2010 the new version will be rolled out to the public. I am very excited about this as we are looking at creating the ultimate hockey social network that we think the fans have been waiting for.

I currently work for a heavy equipment company and manage all aspects of their website and online branding.

As much as I enjoy working there, what I am truly good at and what I feel my calling in life would be is ideas. I am an idea guy. I come up with ideas for new products, websites and improvements to extisting products or services all the time. I am obsessed with ideas and it’s what I’m good at. I especially like working with people and their businesses on how to improve their existing products or services by coming up with inovative ideas that will help them connect with their consumers.
